Ready for the Future

Today (March 5th, 2008) Microsoft introduced the beta release of Internet Explorer 8. Within hours we finished our Quality Assurance testing and now proudly confirm that XRAE is entirely IE 8 compatible. Internet Explorer, when released will represent the future of web browsing for tens of millions of people and this is why it is important to us that we are already compatible with it. Users who choose to upgrade their web browsers will find a faster and visually identical experience to Internet Explorer 7 (which we also support). For companies that produce web applications, browser compatibility is vital, and we have taken the stance that our browser support should be above and beyond any other offering. We exhaustively test against Internet Explorer 7 (and now 8 beta), Mozilla Firefox 2, Safari 3 (Apple Browser, and the iPhone internal browser), Opera 9 and even text only browsers like Link and Lynx (currently about 90% of XRAE is ADA Section 508 compliant). We don’t stop there either, we also have a Mobile Edition which is tested on the Blackberry browser, Pocket IE (Windows Smart phones) and the Blazer web browser (Palm Treo devices), making our software extremely accessible. We also strictly follow common web standards, so we can continue to support new web browsers as they develop. We believe that information should be available to anyone, anywhere and we stand by that claim by making XRAE work on any internet connected device.
